You will begin this assignment by taking the emotional intelligence assessment in this week’s resources.
Note that for the purposes of this assignment you can and should use the free snapshot report. You will then take the role of a psychometrician and prepare a letter to yourself which assesses emotional intelligence and how it fits with your career.
Develop this as though you were preparing it for a colleague, client, or similar type of individual. Make it relevant to your current or future career goals and incorporate what you have learned so far, what you would want the individual to know about relevant theory, physiological components, decision-making, development, and culture. Use language that would be understandable by someone without a degree in psychology, but may still be relevant to your career field. Provide the following information:
Introduce the concept of emotional intelligence as relevant to that career.
Explain the results and tie them to relevant research, theory, and other elements you have studied so far.
Explain the specific and relevant cultural and diversity elements (for your community and career).
Recommend a plan for further development (include as bullet points or paragraphs).
