Something real, specific and exact that some specific, real and exact level of government can do (change in the current policy) to prepare for the NEXT pandemic (not what we did wrong but what we must do NOW).
For BOTH questions focus on local government or the state government of California.
You can’t solve all the issues with the NEXT pandemic with a ten page paper, but you can point out ONE thing that can be done to make us better prepared. Like the above, I challenge you to pick a specific California State or local government (LAUSD, city, county, police, Fire, DWP, public health, etc…) policy that needs to be updated, improved etc. Focus on ONE part of the solution – not a list of things, just one of them.
Your Course Project is all about you finding and arguing for a specific and real government POLICY CHANGE.
For BOTH topics – ALL TOPICS – Focus on one (1) small policy – not the whole big deal – not “we have to do several things…” PICK ONE (and only 1) area to discuss, the more focused the better. The more specific and detailed the better!
YOU need to focus on one policy, area, or issue, involved in the NEXT pandemic response and how to improve it in some REAL but small way. you need to clearly identify the level of government involved and state exactly what that level of government can do to make an improvement (change of policy – problem/solution).
