Students will observe a child between the ages of 36 months and 72 months. Using the template provided outline the milestones at the child’s present age and then using the text and outside resources identify the milestones of a typically developing child three months prior and three months after the observed child’s current age. For example if you chose a child who is 48 months old you would list the milestones you currently observe and then list the milestones that relate to a 45 month old and a 51 month old. Once you have completed the chart write a brief reflection with recommendations to advance the child’s development.
The reflection should be done in APA format with references to the text and/or other academic resources. It should be 2-3 pages not including the cover page and reference page.
