HSOs are business systems that deliver healthcare services to both individual and organizational customers. Types of HSOs include insurance companies, urgent care facilities, hospitals, dialysis clinics, and physical therapy providers, amongst many others. Within every HSO, regardless of type, there are a number of operations that need to take place in order for the facility to operate properly.
In this Discussion, you will consider the operations that need to take place in varying HSOs. In addition, you will analyze performance improvement frameworks that might apply to these same HSOs and discuss how frameworks can help to improve efficiency and effectiveness in HSO operations.
