(NOTE: This handbook will NOT include operational issues such as drop-off procedures, dress code, attendance, etc.)
Your Program Handbook should include the following:

Table of Contents
School Philosophy Section (Approx. 300 words) including:Mission Statement (50 words or less)
School Philosophy (What is the theoretical foundation for the school’s philosophy?)
Program Description Section (Approx. 400 words) including:Description of curriculum
How does your program meet developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)?
What is the role of the teacher in connection to the school philosophy?
What is the role of the children in connection to the school philosophy?
What is the role of the parents in connection to the school philosophy?
School Environment Section (Approx. 200 words) including:How do classroom materials and room arrangements connect to the school philosophy?
How do classroom materials and room arrangements support children’s learning?
Discipline Philosophy Section (Approx. 150 words) including:Describe the discipline policy
How does the discipline policy connect with the school philosophy?

Your Program Handbook should be written in parent-friendly language, informative, and visually appealing.
It should be something that you want to read and be proud to distribute to the families.
