Select an ancient cuneiform text OR a Chinese text from the eras we covered in this course (including the Classic of Poetry), and make a presentation based on a cultural analysis of that text. The presentation can be in the form of a PowerPoint (or equivalent) presentation or a video which you would personally narrate, but take no longer than 5 minutes and no less than 4. You will also turn in a document containing the script for what you would say and an analysis.
[TO SUM UP: You will be turning 1) either a PowerPoint that you will present or a video that you will narrate, 2) a script for that PowerPoint OR that video, and 3) an analysis.]
The analysis will include: some or all of the text itself, a summary of its contents, the cultural context in which it was produced, and what we in the modern day can gain or learn from it. Finally, talk about how your text relates to writing & language and what significance/relevance it may have for continuing human civilization, no matter how small.
