I am a new nurse on the progressive care floor. My nurse practitioner program requires a 500 word personal statement. Here is my background. I had a PhD in biology and did research work after. I wanted to be in the healthcare field since 2019. I got my school and certificate for cardiovascular sonography technician and decide to become a nurse. So I went to an Accelerated nursing program and graduated with a BSN degree in the summer. I want to further my education and become a nurse practitioner.
I want to express my passion for healthcare and nursing, but I don’t know how to express it naturally and impress the program enrollment team. I don’t have much experience in nursing since I just graduated, although I did my clinic hours in pretty much every field in nursing school. I did 800 hours of preceptorship as a cardiovascular sonography student in the hospital.
