Here’s your chance to produce a complete news story and media to go along with it! You are going to report and write this piece as a multi-platform story.
For this week, you are going to interview someone (it can be anyone) and write a feature story on them.
Along with your news article, take photos (or ask the person to send you a few photos) and record audio and/or video (this should be easy if you are interviewing them via zoom; you can use zoom clips of them giving their answers). Edit these items as needed. Submit the complete story package.
Start by determining your angle
Conduct your interview with your partner (You will turn in your interview notes)
Write your story using a strong lead and nut graf answering the most important of the 5W’s/H.
Quote the student as necessary. (Make sure you are using interesting quotes that add something to the story and aren’t using them just to use them!)
Proofread and edit your article carefully
Make sure your multimedia complement the story
Revise your story as necessary
