Students will write a 12-15 page research-based term paper based on coursework and the student’s area of interest. Each student is expected to do a critical review of literature in his/her own phenomenon/ interest area and as related to health promotion.
Specifically, the paper should address aspect(s) of the phenomenon that falls within the realm of wellness promotion. The paper should include an appropriate conceptual model supported by a theory and the literature or theoretical framework and identified assumption(s), defined concepts, and at least a research question for potential exploration.
Selecting a model or conceptual framework, searching and reading published studies on the model or framework is a way of identifying or knowing what variables to look for in practical terms, i.e., operationalizing the model or conceptual framework.
