An outline is a writing tool that helps you organize your thoughts about the topic as well as organize the themes you are noticing in the research. Before you can sit down and write, you must first read the literature you have found on your topic and then start to organize your thoughts. There are different types of outlines and you will need to find a format that works for you. Both the mental map and a more traditional outline are both ways to brainstorm and organize your ideas. For this assignment, you will be developing a more traditional outline that includes different levels (usually can be used as headings) of information. Specific Requirements As stated for the mental map this week, you will need to have a references list with at least 15-20 references. You do not need to provide in-text citations for the outline. Although you will have information that is different from others because you are all writing about different topics, there are a few broad categories: Target population description Problem identification or conceptualization (think systemic viewpoint and root of the issue) Description of programs currently addressing this problem or similar problems Identification of the gap (where we are now versus where we want to be) Your initial ideas about how to fill the gap Due Date Sunday at 11:59pm Choose a submission type
