Students will research and investigate a key human resource management process
in the event business that was discussed in the course and is of interest to the
student. This includes analyzing and assessing the process, noting best practices,
and opportunities or challenges within the process. The paper should answer some
of the following questions: What are the key components, goals, objectives, desired
outcomes for the selected process? How would the process be structured,
communicated, implemented, and evaluated by the organization and/client?
Some examples of these processes include: employee/volunteer training and
development, compensation and benefits including the total rewards systems,
employment processes for permanent, temporary, voluntary employees which

include recruitment, selection, termination, etc., performance
management/performance appraisal systems, employee/volunteer/leader
onboarding or reboarding.
Each paper is a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 pages, excluding references.
You should include at least 4 professional resources and 1 interview with an HR
professional. It should be double spaced, 1-inch margins, and with adherence to
MLA format and include an annotated bibliography The paper will be evaluated on
thoroughness of the research, quality of the analysis, insight into the process,
clarity, and grammar.
