After reading Chapters 13–16 in the Remley and Herlihy text, you will select and evaluate one of the cases found in each of these four chapters. You may select whichever cases you prefer, but you must choose one case from each chapter so that you are covering all the material. In other words, you will assess four different cases, one case study taken from each of the chapters (13, 14, 15, and 16).
Initial Post – Due By Thursday
In your initial discussion post, answer the following questions:
Which four cases did you select? Give a brief description of each case and evaluate each scenario’s legal and ethical issues.
How would you respond to the ethical challenges in each case?
How could you implement professional strategies to help improve the outcomes of each situation?
What other factors might you need to consider?
Finally, create a discussion question and place it at the end of your initial post. This discussion question can be general (e.g., a basic question about a topic in the case studies that stood out to you). Alternatively, you can ask a question that connects the topics in the case studies to current events or something else you have read about in this course or another human services-related course.
Your initial posting should be at least four paragraphs and include the use of concepts and ideas found in your textbook that are relevant to the discussion question.
