Please select a technology to research. This can be anything from ancient to modern technology. My suggestion would be to select a couple of technologies of interest and do a basic internet search on them to make sure there is enough sources to complete the annotated bibliography.
Annotated Bibliography Assignment
An annotated bibliography is a list of sources (the “bibliography”) and notes about them (the“annotations”). Thus, your annotated bibliography will be a list of sources (using Chicago Style – Turabian references). These must be in complete sentences.

East Student will choose one technology to research. Everything is fair game from a specific technology to an era. Some examples may include but are not limited to the computer, smart phone, sliced bread, the microwave, military technologies, NASA, ancient technologies such as power or personal use. and so on. If you have any questions or struggle to find a topic please email me to discuss.

Example:
Nicholson, Helen. “Women on the Third Crusade.” Journal of Medieval History 23, no.4 (1997): 335-49, Academic Search Complete (accessed March 7, 2020).
This is a secondary source article from a peer reviewed journal on medieval history [identifies the type of source and its overall topic area], Nicholson explores the controversial question of whether, and to what extent, women participated in armed conflict during the Third Crusade [This sentence identifies the central question (thesis) of the article]. After reviewing different historians’ views on the issue, she examines the widely different depictions of women’s participation in the crusade given in Muslim and Christian accounts. Nicholson exposes the biases within both Muslim and Christian accounts to examine how Muslim sources tended to exaggerate women’s participation in armed conflict while Christian sources tended to conceal women’s roles. Ultimately, she argues that while women played many important support roles during the Crusades, their participation in armed conflict was limited to extremely dire battles. Women’s power is shown to be clearly unequal and their intelligence was overlooked. In many battles, their eagerness to be involved was met with hostility, especially by husbands which tended to use violence to subdue women showing the extremity of the social stigma. [Summary of the source]. This connects to the overall study of the women in the medieval times by showing their lack of power to participate in the Crusades and their lack of power overall in society. [This sentence explains how the article will be relevant to the group topic].
