Remember, the word “diet” does not necessarily mean a weight loss program or restriction to eating. Your “diet” consists of the foods and drinks you select, or your regular eating habits. In the assignment, you will answer three questions to guide reflection on the healthfulness of your own diet. Assignment Instructions Watch the video “Do Flexitarians Live Longer?” and then answer the questions below in a Word document in APA FORMAT. Each question should be answered with 1-2 paragraphs. Assignment 2 PAGES IN length. Submit the document with your answers to the following questions: Reflection – What does your diet consist of? Are you eating enough plant-based foods to see positive effects? How much of your diet consists of animal-based foods (meat, chicken, fish, eggs, milk/dairy/cheese, etc.)? What are 3 ways you can improve the healthfulness of your diet by replacing animal-based foods (meat, eggs, and milk including dairy and cheese) with plant-based foods (fruits, veggies, beans, nuts, seeds)? If research indicates animal products (including eggs and dairy) have negative health effects, why don’t more people partake in a healthful diet to prevent diseases like cardiovascular disease or Type II diabetes? Is the public aware of the benefits of a plant-based diet? Use additional sources if needed (be sure to use APA formatting for sources).
