In 350–500 words, answer each aspect of the journal prompt. The tone of the writing should be more like a diary — write from the heart! References are not required, though if there are books/articles that impacted your answers to the questions, please mention them.
Journal Prompts:
1. What is a shared vision, and how can you communicate it effectively?
2. Answer the following questions to help with assignment.
1.    Make a list of four or five experiences from your past that have been “turning points” for you-experiences that have truly influenced the direction you have taken in your life. The important thing is that they made a real difference in your life. Describe each experience in a few words.
a.    Now review the experiences in your list. Do you see a pattern? Is there a theme of two that connects them? What’s the pattern? What’s the themes?
b.    What do the patterns and themes tell you about what creates meaning for you? About your hopes and dreams for the future?
2.    Imagine that you are attending a dinner given by your colleagues five years from now, honoring you as “The Leader of the Year.” One after the other, your colleagues and family talk about the contributions you have made to them, the organization, and to the community. What do you hope that they will say about you?
a.    What do you want others to say about your contributions is really an expression of your own dreams. What does your description of what you want others to tell you about the difference you’d like to make in the world?
