Your Course Project will consist of a research paper that demonstrates the application and analysis of two sociological perspectives, theories, social issues, or social problems you may experience in your chosen field of work. You have already submitted a rough draft of your research paper. The final draft should incorporate the feedback provided on the rough draft submission. Ultimately, this research paper will be a part of your ePortfolio. Use this paper as an opportunity to show how your written and communication skills will benefit your employer.
The purpose of your Course Project is to allow you to apply information you learned in SOC101 to your field of work or study. This Course Project will allow you to provide meaningful examples of your learning and progress to your future employer. The Course Project will demonstrate your proficiency of SLOs 1, 3, 5, and 9.
Discuss the main sociological theories and their implications.
Evaluate the changing needs of society and people, and assess the causes and components of social problems.
Identify social structures, everyday interactions and distinguish the social construction of reality.
Identify the significant revolutions and events that have shaped the our society’s economy and evaluate the current trends and workplace diversities.
