The two charts illustrate the proportion of goods from four fields which people in Canada bought online in the years 2005 and 2010. It is clear that the percentages of Video games and Food & Beverage used by Canada’s people decreased, while the figures for the rest had an opposite trend. Also, Electronics & Appliance was the most popular sector in both years.
In 2005, electronics & appliances accounted for the highest proportion, at 35 percent of the total retail sectors in Canada and this figure experienced a slight decline of 5 percent in 2010. Similarly, in the first year, home furnishings stood at 25 percent of retail items, which fell substantially to 15 percent 5 years later.
Regarding the remaining retail fields, the figure for food & beverage made up 22 percent in the year 2005, followed by a considerable growth of 10 percent. Video games experienced a moderately climb in its figure, from 18 percent in 2005 to around a fourth in 2010.
