Perhaps you have never considered the phrase ” Well at least it is a dry heat”. I used to hear this all the time while going to school at the University of Arizona in Tucson. It was meant to make someone feel better when experiencing temperatures over 100° F. In other words, it could be a lot worse- it could be humid as well as hot! Consider how humidity varies across Earth’s surface. Would you like to live in a place with warm temperatures and high humidity ? If so, where would you live? If you prefer warm temperatures and low humidity, where would you live? This lab is designed to help you understand the relationship between water vapor content, temperature and humidity. Objectives:
Calculate relative humidity
Find relative humidity using sling psychrometer
Determine dew point temperature based on water vapor content
If you wish to download a hardcopy of the lab, you can find it hereLinks to an external site..
