Participation in Class Discussion Boards (15 percent of grade)–PLEASE NOTE THE NEW GUIDELINES BELOW.
Students will be required to post to the class discussion board that relate the ideas and concepts found in the text (REVEL) and course assignments to current events—that is, in these discussions, students will make posts related to political, legal, and policy topics of the day as they see them in the course material. There will be Three Discussion Boards that align with the Three Major Quizzes that you will take over the course of the semester. In each discussion board, students are required to post ONE question to their fellow students regarding how the course content relates to what is going on in our political and policy world and are required to answer SEVERAL questions posed by other students in the discussion. At the beginning of each discussion, I will pose a question to the entire class. I will ask this question within the discussion, and I will also post it to COURSE ANNOUNCEMENTS within CANVAS. Do answer this question the best that you are able. Also, please treat each other with respect and engage in civil discourse.
