For this week’s discussion forum, please find a website or other internet resource that you feel does a particularly good job explaining grief. I want this to be a resource that you would feel was good enough to either use yourself, as a professional, or use to refer a grieving person to. It can be geared towards a particular situation or population (i.e. children, teenagers, elderly adults, widows/widowers, veterans, suicide survivors, anyone in general, professionals in the business, etc.) Just make sure that includes helpful for information for someone dealing with grief.
Include the link to the website or internet resource. Make sure you create a link for it. (Copy the link, click the button on the toolbar that looks like a chain, paste the url and click ‘Create Link’) I would ask that you do a little searching for this and not just pick the first link that pops up. Try to avoid the most popular ones there are, such as whatsyourgrief or griefshare. I don’t want everyone to use the same one! I would like for the website or resource you post to personally be relatable to you in some form or fashion. If it is geared towards a particular population, tell us about why you picked that population. It does not mean you have had to experience that particular type of loss, but explain why you are passionate about providing resources to that particular population. Please tell about why you feel the website is so beneficial, how you feel it would be useful, what you learned from the website, the positives of the website or any critiques you have, etc.
Please look at 2 other students’ links and respond to what you got out of the resource, information you gained, why you feel it would be helpful, how/why you would/wouldn’t use it, and anything you feel could be added to it to make it better.
Initial response due by 11:59 pm CST Tuesday; 1st peer response by 11:59 pm CST Friday; 2nd peer response by 11:59 pm CST Sunday! Below is a recap of what you need:
Link to a website or online resource
Why you picked that one, why you think it is so good, what you got from it, etc. (minimum of 2 paragraphs)
Respond to other students and tell what you got from the resource they picked, what you learned, how you feel it would be useful, if anything should be added or changed, etc.
