Final PowerPoint Report – 15-17 slides approximately 30 point font (recommended).
Include the following: (reminder: sections 1-10 are the same as PowerPoint #1, but you may use this time to improve
these slides, also)
1. Title page (Name of business, your full name, class/semester and your motto) (from Project Proposal
assignment)
2. Mission Statement (1 slide) (written in simple present without ifs, buts, or conflicts) (from Project Proposal
assignment)
3. Vision Statement (1 slide) make sure that your vision statement is written in present tense. It is an ideal
statement, long term, yet it is usually stated like it is happening now (from Project Proposal assignment)
4. & 5. The Market (2 slides)
The Need: for your product (need to do research on the latest trends for the industry of your business) (examples:
How large is the industry? Trending upwards or downwards? How much do clients spend? What are the latest
trends?)
Market: Your ideal client (target market) (demographic characteristics such as age, income, etc.; lifestyle
characteristics; psychographic characteristics; geographic characteristics, etc.)
Market: Size of your target market (after defining your ideal client and the exact location of your business, you
need to make assumptions and estimate the size of your target market) (example: LA county: 12 million; SF
Valley: 3 million; So Cal: 26 million; approximate or you can use census.gov to determine the % of the
population related to your demographics; make assumptions; determine the size of your target market)
6. & 7. Competitive analysis (2 slides) – two competitors and their 4Ps /one competitor per slide
(competitors: price, product, promotion, and place)
8. Your Marketing Mix (1 slide) (3 of “4 Ps” of your business: Product, Price, Place,)
Make sure you show your excitement/detail for your product/service; talk about your location and distribution (if
any); your price range; and finally detail your promotion and all its aspects.
9. Your Marketing Mix (1 slide) (1 of “4 Ps” of your business: Promotion)
Personal sales: How do you prospect (find customers)? How do you sell (hard or soft sales approach)?
Sales promotion: How do you get clients to try your product? How do you sell more of your product?
Public relations: How do you get/attract free/cheap publicity?
Advertising: How much do you expect to pay for publicity? Which media will you use and how?
10. Competitive Advantages (1 slide) (with your advantages – bullet points) examples: Cost Advantage;
Differential or product array advantage; Niche/focus advantage (not offered by any other competitors); Location;

Store atmosphere; Impeccable Customer Service (Reminder: sections 1-10 are the same as PowerPoint #1, but

11. & 12. Management Plan/Organizational Chart (2 slides) (one slide with key positions of your company –
bullet points; one slide with your organizational chart)
13. Milestones (1 slide) List Major milestones of the start-up company (example: Lease signing, Store Design,
Marketing Campaign, Grand Opening, Hiring core employees, etc)
14. Initial Operating Expenses (1 slide) What are some one-time costs? (organization, rent deposit, web-engine,
marketing, legal expenses) How will they be financed (fundraising from own network, seed funds from
accelerator/incubator, sale of stock, bank loans, etc.)?
15. Close (1 slide) (wrap up and REMIND US what you are and why we should buy)
example: something with your logo, or photo of your product, your location or building, contact information, etc.
16. Financial Projections (1 slide) 3-year projection of Revenue Assumptions, Payroll Assumptions, Operating
Expenses and Tax Assumptions
17. Appendix (1 slide) any extra details that you may have, such as research data that supports your main points
and/or references, websites, information sources (not required/optional)
