Final deliverable:
Maximum 2,400 word paper, & executive summary of findings to help with class presentation.
The goal of this assignment is to study the persons and careers of a diverse set of noted leaders in real estate in order for each student to identify skills, characteristics, projects, and organizational structures, (collectively identified as the attributes) of the developers. The objective of the assignment is to cross reference the attributes of development practices and processes of the developers with the eight stages of the development process, with your perspectives on your career trajectory. The intended outcome of the assignment and final presentations of students’ analyses is demonstration of an understanding of the development process. Further, as a result of their analyses, students should apply their insights on their subjects to consideration of their own skills and attributes; goals and objectives; and aspirations for their careers; with attention to how their course work (including plans for courses not yet taken) contribute to informing and supporting students’ career paths.
I HAVE CHOSEN LARRY SILVERSTEIN, owner of Silverstein Properties, and the World Trade Center.
There is also a list of case studies posted on the ULI website. Students may be curious and are encouraged to pursue research on particularly prominent individuals featured in these case studies.
I will include alot of the class lectures, textbooks, and other assignments from previous semesters in a link once accepted.
