This weeks DB is very open ended. Read the article for the week & watch the videos (all in the module for the week) and choose something that you find to be interesting to write about. There is SO much to choose from here,
Some examples are: The author views love as a “motivational drive” and not an “emotion”. There is a lot to be said about that. First of all, it sounds disappointing to not think of love as an emotion, especially one that tends to be the first emotion we think of if asked to name an emotion (the other two common answers are happiness and sadness). But, at the same time, thinking of love as a drive – operating in the same way as hunger – sounds pretty powerful too!
Or: The “symptoms” of being in love are almost exactly similar to the “symptoms” we feel when we are dumped. The author actually describes being dumped as making us “love harder”. Examples of these similarities are longing for the person, focused attention on that person, loss of appetite and/or sleep (there are more too!)
You are certainly not limited to only these two, they are just ones that I personally find interesting reading this article. Choose something that stands out to you and write about it. You should discuss what the article’s stance of it is and what your own is. How do they differ? How are they similar? Did the article change your opinion of it? Did it further your understanding of it? Why was it interesting to you?
Below I listed the article and two videos from the module , its a discussion board so it does not have to be very long 2-3 paragraphs is fine
