Write a narrative of at least five paragraphs recounting an experience, event, or incident from your life or the life of a family member or friend. Use a hook in your introduction to get your readers interested enough to want to read more. Use time connectors to place events in the right order. Include details with adjectives, adjective clauses, and adverbs that add ‘color’ to your narrative. Use at least some direct speech. Include a message or moral in your conclusion that you want to convey to your readers. Pay attention to grammar, punctuation, and spelling, since getting these wrong may impede the comprehension of those reading your narrative.
Your narrative will be graded based on:
Times New Roman (12-point font) 1 3 5
First Person Point of View 1 3 5
(Note: Use ‘I’ if you write a story about yourself; use ‘he’ or ‘she’ if you write a story about a family member or friend)
Smooth Transitions with Time Words 1 3 5
(at least 3 time words to get 5 points, 2 to get 3 points, 1 to get 1 point); highlight them in your text
Adjective Clauses 1 3 5
(at least 3 time words to get 5 points, 2 to get 3 points, 1 to get 1 point); highlight them in your text
Direct speech 1 3 5
(no need to highlight the quotation marks because I will notice them quickly)
Moral or Greater Meaning 1 3 5
Sensory Details 1 3 5
(specific vocabulary related to sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste – 3 words to get 5 points, 2 to get 3 points, 1 to get one point); highlight them in your text
Grammar, spelling, punctuation 1 3 5
1-2 pages 1 3 5
(for the first draft, use single spacing between lines; for each version after that, using double spacing between lines)
I already did it but the professor does not like it and send back to me so I want you to edit it I will put his comment here;
Abdul, this is copied from somewhere; I don’t believe it is your own work.
Please resubmit a narrative that is your own work. Tell me about some event that happened in your life back in Saudi Arabia or while studying abroad.
When you resubmit the assignment, remember to highlight the time words in one color, the adjective clauses in a different color, and the sensory words in a third color. You have not done that here.
Note: The font you used in Courier New 11, but it should be Times New Roman 12.

Abdul, this story is so much more authentic than that other story you submitted!
I’m confused about some of what you have highlighted. I know the green represents the sensory words. I think the blue represents the adjective clauses, but not all of what you have in blue is an adjective clause. That leaves the yellow, but I don’t understand what you want the yellow to be, Abdul. The only other feature I asked you to highlight were time words, but I don’t see those in yellow. Can you help me understand?
Times New Roman (12-point font) 5/5
First Person Point of View 5/5
Smooth Transitions with Time Words 0/5 – I don’t see any time words, e.g., now, then, later, afterwards, last year, highlighted.
Adjective Clauses 1/5 – You have only one highlighted in blue that is an adjective clause: “that we have outside above the storage”. Add some more. Another one in blue is and adverb clause.
Direct speech 0/5 – There are no quotes in your narrative.
Moral or Greater Meaning 0/5 – What is the overall message from your story? What would you like your readers to learn or remember?
Sensory Details 3/5 – I see only two: ‘noticed’ and ‘catch’.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation 5/5
1-2 pages 3/5 -The narrative is less than one page long, especially when you combine those three early paragraphs into one (see my comments to the right of your text).
Total Points: 22/45
please do not change the main ideas and I dropped my work take a look at it.
