Option 1: Presentation and References
The final presentation is similar to the current events you have completed all semester. You will create a 10-minute presentation on a topic of your choice within the EHS field, post it to the discussion board. Your topic should interest you, have a personal connection to you, or you find it unique and worth sharing. The topic should not be a lesson that was taught in class but may include information from lessons as a background. Example ideas are:Noise-induced hearing loss
Music and the environmental movement
What happens to recyclables after you put them in the recycle bin
Why people don’t move out of Flint, MI
Agricultural workers’ rights and why they choose to keep working in deplorable conditions
Silica standards, why they are so important, and why it took so long to make them a law
An acceptable presentation must include a PowerPoint (or similar program) recorded with a screen recording device and submitted in video format like mp4 or a youtube link. To record your screen and audio, you can use the Canvas Studio link, Screen Cast-O-Matic software (click here to link) for free, Powerpoint recording feature (it must play on its own), or any other recording software. You must turn in a video, not a PowerPoint presentation. Please submit your final presentation by posting a link from YouTube, or Canvas Studio. File uploads are difficult and tend to have issues.
References – References will be in APA format, for your final presentation resources. The minimum number of scholarly resources required is three. Submit as a word document to this assignment, along with your presentation link.
