paper must have “three parts:”
1. The analysis of the literature and the research/connection to a real life/world issue (7-10 pages)
a. analyzes a specific theme (I would use alienation and how the husband alienates the wife)
b. This section will argue HOW the author presents the theme of the story. For example, does the author use symbolism and setting or characters and dialogue? You will need to choose two to four elements of fiction, poetry, and drama and discuss HOW the author uses those elements to present the theme. This section of the paper must analyze HOW the author presents the theme and WHY the theme is important to the story?
2. The Works Cited Page (1 page)
3. The Self-Reflection Page (1 page)
The research part must be from the 3 articles I will be providing. I already have a works cited page for that as well.
This was a note my teacher gave me based.
– I am going to suggest that you start the paper focused on the analysis of the short story.
Right now these body paragraphs seem to focus on summarizing what happens in the story.
Focus on the story, what idea the story presents, and how the story presents that idea.
Use the elements of fiction to help focus and shape the body paragraphs.
Write about six body paragraphs analyzing the short story itself.
Here is one suggestion: analyze the symbols in two body paragraphs; analyze character in one body paragraph; analyze dialogue one body paragraph; analyze the plot in one body paragraph.
Once you have completed the analysis of the short story, then you can discuss the real-world issue and the research; and, you can jump to the more general concept of pressure on girls.
Then, you can present the interview.
