Learning Goal: I’m working on a english discussion question and need a sample draft to help me learn. This semester, you have done a lot of work to keep a journal about a qualitatively interpersonal relationship that is significant in your life. This is your chance to analyze the work you have done toward improving your relationship. In this essay, you will describe how your experiences this semester have influenced your relationship. DUE: No later than Sunday, December 10 at 11:59pm.
OBJECTIVES
Completing this assignment will help you synthesize concepts from various chapters to analyze what you have applied, what has worked, what hasn’t, and what you will apply in the future.
INSTRUCTIONS
Look back at the Journal Introduction you wrote this semester and take note of your relationship climate and goals.
Look back at and reflect on the journal entries you have written.
Write an essay, not to exceed 5 pages, that explores the following questions:
What is the current climate of the relationship?
How has the relationship changed/not changed since the start of this course?
What general changes have you gone through in this relationship? What caused these changes to occur? Were these changes positive or negative?
What specific concepts and goals derived from our various modules and past journal entries had an effect on your relationship?
What skills have you gained this semester that you intend to apply in the future? How?
Did you experience anything this semester that surprised you? Discuss your expectations relative to outcomes.
What have you learned about yourself as a result of keeping this journal?
What else did you learn/would you like to share?
**This is meant to be a realistic reflection of your semester. Write a thoughtful and meaningful essay, don’t simply answer the questions above in list-format; really think about your answers. Maybe there are some specific communication skills upon which you want to focus. As with any reflection, acknowledge areas where improvements could be made as well as successes.
